The Canadian Computing Competition (CCC) is a national computer science contest jointly organized by the University of Waterloo’s Department of Computer Science and the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC).

The AMC Mathematics Competition is an international mathematics contest jointly organized by top universities such as MIT, Harvard, and Princeton. It is a prestigious mathematics event designed for middle and high school students worldwide.

One of the world’s top three mathematics competitions, it is organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, Canada 🇨🇦, and is open to high school students around the world.

​周毅(Yi Zhou)

Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Macau and M.Eng. in Computer Science from Zhejiang University.
Over 20 years of C++ project experience and more than 10 years of experience in algorithm competitions and mathematics education.
Has guided students to achieve outstanding results in international competitions such as AMC 8/10, Hong Kong Huaxia Cup, and NOI, including NOI gold medals and provincial team selections.
With extensive international teaching experience, capable of conducting fully English-taught classes, and specializes in algorithm training and mathematical thinking development.

Math Contests

Mathematics and Science Coaching Experience

  • 2012 – Present: Teaching Elementary Olympiad Math, Junior High Mathematics, and Junior High Physics for advanced students.

  • 2018 – Present: Providing AMC 8 and AMC 10 training at third-party institutions.

  • 2024: Students won First and Second Prizes in the Hong Kong Huaxia Cup (Primary and Junior Divisions).

  • 2024 & 2025: Multiple students received Distinction Awards in AMC 8 and AMC 10.

  • 2020 – Present: Teaching AP CSA, AP CSP, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC at third-party institutions — many students achieved a score of 5.

Algorithm Competitions

ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest)

  • 2020 – 2024: Served as the coach of the University of Macau ICPC team, focusing on teaching graph theory and dynamic programming algorithms.

  • April 3, 2022: Participated in organizing The 2021/2022 ICPC Asia Macau Regional Contest.

  • May 29, 2021: Participated in organizing The 2020/2021 ICPC Asia Macau Regional Contest and received the Best Local Coach Award.

NOI (National Olympiad in Informatics)

  • Certified NOI Coach. Since 2015, has been providing online and in-person training for informatics olympiads. Students are located in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Tianjin, with many repeatedly earning First Prizes in both the Beginner and Advanced Divisions.

  • One of his top students earned a gold medal at NOI 2023 (ranked 49th while still in junior high), placed 7th in the 2024 provincial selection, joined the Zhejiang Provincial Team, and later won another gold medal at NOI 2024, gaining direct admission to Tsinghua University and selection to the national team.

  • Another student, Hong, qualified for the Zhejiang Provincial Informatics Olympiad team selection.

Algorithm Competitions(continued)

USACO (USA Computing Olympiad)

  • Involved in USACO since 2020, providing personalized one-on-one courses to help students apply for U.S. undergraduate programs.

  • Multiple students have achieved perfect scores and advanced to the Gold Division.

CCC (Canadian Computing Competition)

  • Began teaching CCC in January 2024. The first group consisted of five students, who completed a 30-hour Python course and participated in the February 2024 CCC Junior Division.

    • One student scored 66/75 (Top 5%, Student Honour Roll).

    • Another scored 45/75.

  • In February 2025, two students in the CCC Junior Division achieved 66/75 (Top 5%, Student Honour Roll).
